Bailey's Consolidated, one of the oldest and best-known moving and storage companies, is seeking an experienced Operational Controller to join our team. As a Operational Controller you will play a key role in managing our financial activitiesand ensuring compliance with accounting principles.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Driving the company's financial planning and executing strategy.
  • Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions under the direction of the CFO.
  • Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
  • Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements.
  • Coordinating activities of external auditors.
  • Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process.
  • Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes.
  • Evaluating accounting and internal control systems.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed.
  • Oversee/Manage the AR, AP process.
  • Developing and monitoring business performance metrics.
  • Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance.
  • Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Accounting Manager, Controller, or relevant role in leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
  • CPA is a strong advantage.
  • BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus
