Our organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our vibrant team. This is a permanent position offering an exciting opportunity to work within the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all financial transactions related to our property portfolio. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a keen eye for detail. The Senior Property Accountant will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health and success of our property investments.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
2. Manage all aspects of property accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
3. Conduct CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations and ensure all related expenses are accurately allocated and recovered.
4. Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
5. Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.
6. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, and accounting standards.
7. Collaborate with property managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
8. Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
9. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in CAM reconciliations is a must.
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting regulations and standards.
5. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
6. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
7. Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
9. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.
