Job Purpose

To provide comprehensive FP&A support, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting. The role involves managing and overseeing grant accounting and ensuring proper financial management of grants. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy of financial data, facilitating decision-making processes, and ensuring compliance with reporting standards and internal controls. It is also focused on delivering insightful financial analysis to support the organization’s strategic initiatives and objectives.

Job Outline

The job involves:
  • Manage accounts for institutes, grants, and contributions (including monthly invoicing), ensuring adherence to grant terms, and provide monthly updates to Research Centers & Institutes regarding grants and their utilization
  • Keeping Grant Schedule up to date & provide clarifications for filing FCRA returns.
  • Monthly reconciliation of balances from the Bank Statement, Grant Schedule, and SAP system.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during grant audits, ensuring that all necessary documentation and information is provided for review.
  • Support the FP&A function with the Annual Budget and Quarterly Projections, prepare monthly management reports and schedules, and provide insights and summaries to aid decision-making and planning processes.
  • Prepare program wise profitability and cost allocations
  • Oversee the Expense Management System, including budget uploads, coordination for creating Internal Orders (IOs), updating master data, and resolving queries.
  • Coordinating with statutory auditors, cost and internal auditors.
  • Governance of Expense Management System including budget uploads, coordination for creation of IO’s, updating masters, query resolution etc.
  • Budget Management through budget uploads in Fund Centers & Internal Orders (IOs), overseeing usage, preparation of schedules & statements, and resolution of budget error inquiries.
  • Scrutinizing Actual Financial data for General Ledger (GL), Cost Centre (CC) & Fund usage, spot any irregularities and make necessary corrections.
  • Actively participating in and contributing to various departmental initiatives and projects, including SAP enhancements and automation
  • Ensuring compliance with the financial policies and internal controls.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to address specific business needs or requests from leadership.
  • On-the-job training of direct reports and reviewing their developmental needs.

    B.Com/ M. Com and with CA / ICWAI with 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in medium sized organisation -in finance/accounts department

    Skills:

    Experience:
