Seeking a Junior Business Analyst to support our venture capital and portfolio management initiatives. This role involves analyzing business performance, preparing financial reports, and evaluating investment opportunities. It is a key role in tracking portfolio progress, identifying areas for improvement, and helping driving strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Performance and Analysis
  • Prepare, review, and analyze Monthly MIS (Management Information System) reports to monitor business performance.
  • Analyze financial reports and data from various business divisions, providing insights and recommendations to division heads during strategic discussions.
  • Propose improvements to the current MIS process to enhance reporting efficiency, consistency, and accuracy.


Deal Flow and Portfolio Management
  • Analyzing and evaluating the deal flow.
  • Conducting thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough and ongoing analysis of portfolio companies; financial performance, market positioning, and competitive landscape.
  • Evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Implement and maintain sophisticated tracking systems to monitor the progress of portfolio companies.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews and participate in discussions to identify underperforming investments.


Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in VC/family office, financial planning & analysis, investment banking, or a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/BBA with MBA, CA, CFA or similar degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and proficiency in creating complex financial models for investment analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with a demonstrated ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Deep familiarity with venture capital, startup ecosystems, and emerging technologies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.
  • Passion for innovation and a proactive approach to staying informed about industry trends and developments.
