We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Operations leader to oversee service delivery and provide subject matter expertise (SME) in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Contract Administration, and Credit & Collections across multiple geographies. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage finance operations efficiently at a managerial level.
Primary Responsibilities of the Finance Ops Manager, GCC:
Service Delivery Management:
- Lead the finance team in the delivery of end-to-end financial services, ensuring high-quality performance and meeting agreed service levels.
- Act as a primary POC and Identify & implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
Subject Matter Expertise:
- Provide expert guidance and support in AP, AR, Contract Administration, and Credit & Collections.
- Develop & maintain SOPs and stay updated on financial regulations and compliance requirements across various geographies to ensure alignment with local laws and standards.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with senior leadership, clients, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure alignment with financial goals.
Team Leadership:
- Coach, manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Develop career paths & plans for all roles and coordinate plans with team members; chalk out progressions for the associates' careers.
- Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and implement skill development programs for team members.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support broader organizational objectives.
Required Qualifications of the Finance Ops Manager, GCC:
Education/Certification/License Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in finance operations, with at least 1 or 2 years in a managerial or team lead role within a GCC or shared service center.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and best practices across multiple geographies.
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams in a global shared services environment.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and manage change effectively.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience working in a Global Capability Center (GCC) or shared services environment.
- Experience in leading cross-functional and multicultural teams.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
- Strong understanding of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle ERP Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, GP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, pivot tables, and macros.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, SaaS-based ERP solutions.
- Proactive and results-driven with a keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge of database management, reporting tools, and analytics platforms.
- Must maintain high ethical standards, and meet confidentiality requirements, to ensure the security and privacy of the organization's data.
- Able to work independently and with others, to contribute to team goals.
