Purpose of the Job:
Setting up and maintaining accounting records. Overseeing GL team that is responsible for preparing and booking journal entries and account reconciliations that are accurate and compliant with company policies and applicable accounting principles.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs and manages general accounting and control functions. Develops appropriate accounting and control procedures and directs their implementation. Administers general accounting, internal reporting, and coordinate external audit activities.
Responsible for directing and/or participating in activities and output of all Business Unit finance and accounting teams including general ledger, treasury, cost accounting, expenditures, banking, investments, audits, contracts, and tax compliance
Manage the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, analyses, and reports; ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) regulations, ICFR, US Generally Accepted Accounting (GAAP) principles and internal accounting policies.
Manage the local country specific standalone books under local accounting principles.
Serve as a liaison with internal/external auditors for GAAP Financial Statements at business level and consolidated level and in multi country environment. Acts as primary contact with the independent auditors on accounting matters during regular and special audits and assists accordingly.
Ensures accurate and timely submission of financial reporting schedules.
Assures efficient utilization of technology to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting necessary to facilitate management review and control of operations and contribute to timely management decision-making.
Assists in special projects of a complex nature such as changes in organizational structure, changes in reporting methods, financial model preparation, and necessary filings to the government or other agencies.
Advises and alerts top management and key managers to variances and trends in financial performance which may require management attention. Exercises accounting control to ensure that budgeted expenditures do not exceed amounts authorized.
Analyzes and interprets operating results as they affect the financial aspects of the Division and makes recommendations which will result in cost reduction and profit improvement.
Establishes and maintains policies and procedures which influence the division’s financial position and audits to assure that accounting practices are followed.
Conducts performance reviews assesses the quality of performance and Team Member headcount is appropriate for the Business given the current and projected situation. Evaluate staff performance, identify and plans goals and promotes the growth and development of Team Members within a developing Black Box structure and culture.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities
Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
Proven ability to accurately analyze financial data, statements and projections
Strong knowledge of computerized financial systems and applications - SAP experience preferred
Local geo compliances and local GAAP books of accounts for tax and filing purposes as well as the conversion to US GAAP
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent negotiation and problem resolution skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Proven team management skills
Energetic and able to work in a fast paced, international environment
Exceptional MS Excel skills
Working knowledge of VAT/GST/sales tax and Withholding tax workings within various countries
Education/Experience Requirements
Accounting or finance degree - CA/CPA/ICWA must
Relevant Work Experience: 8-12 years post qualification, preferably in an international environment, managing international teams (remotely).
Work experience in a significant finance mid management role.
Experience reporting to a top-level or mid-level business executive.
Significant finance team management responsibilities preferably at technology or product companies.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will have 4 to 6 direct reports - multi country locations.
