Job Title: Finance Controller

Location: 100% Remote role

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Finance Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis, along with proven experience in managing financial audits, board and investor presentations, and equipment financing. The Finance Controller will oversee and manage a team of accountants and will have a comprehensive understanding of accounting and financial transactions, including Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable, accruals, inventory valuation, and product cost determination. This role also requires experience with payroll management, ESOPs, and strong knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS standards. The candidate should be proficient in advanced Excel functions and, preferably, have experience with QuickBooks Online.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the financial reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with US GAAP or IFRS.
  • Oversee the management of financial audits, including coordination with external auditors and ensuring compliance with audit standards.
  • Prepare board and investor presentations, providing clear and actionable financial insights and analysis.
  • Manage a team of accountants, providing guidance and support across key financial functions such as Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable, expenses accrual, inventory valuation, and cost determination for products sold.
  • Supervise payroll management processes, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Oversee the administration of ESOPs and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Review financial transactions to ensure the accuracy of reporting, including expense allocations and inventory accounting.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, provide forecasts, and make recommendations for improving financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including US GAAP or IFRS, and stay updated with industry best practices.
  • Work closely with senior management to provide financial insights and contribute to the strategic planning of the company.
  • Manage equipment financing and other financing activities to support business growth.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing financial audits, board presentations, and investor communications.
  • Experience managing a team of accountants and overseeing financial functions such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, accruals, inventory valuation, and product costing.
  • Strong experience in payroll management and administering ESOPs.
  • In-depth understanding of US GAAP or IFRS accounting standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex functions and data analysis tools.
  • Preferably experience working with QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
