Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the finance and accounting team in India, ensuring alignment with the financial operations of the US entity.
- Oversee the transition of accounting processes from the US accounting team, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain compliance with US GAAP and other relevant accounting standards while providing financial insights and analysis.
- Generate financial statements, reports, and key metrics to support business decision-making.
- Work closely with the US finance team to align accounting policies, controls, and procedures.
- Drive process improvements and automation efforts to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.
- Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with company policies and external regulations.
- Utilize financial systems, including NetSuite and Vena, to streamline reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership and department heads to support financial planning and business strategy.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably within a Chartered Accounting firm, CPA firm, law firm, or professional services firm.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and prior experience managing the finance function for a US client.
- Proven ability to close books accurately and on time, with strong attention to detail.
- Experience in financial reporting, analysis, and strategic decision support.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite (preferred) and familiarity with Vena (a plus).
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
- Proactive and willing to roll up sleeves, rather than just manage from a distance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
