Job Description: Assistant Manager - GL and Book Closing - (CA Qualified)
Position: Assistant Manager - GL and Book Closing Department: Finance & Accounts Location: Bangalore
Reporting To: [Manager / Senior Manager / Head of Finance]
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management:
Maintain and manage the General Ledger (GL) to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
Perform periodic ledger reconciliations and ensure adherence to accounting standards.
Book Closing:
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual book-closing activities.
Please make sure that closing schedules and accurate preparation of financial statements are completed.
Tax Compliance:
Handle direct and indirect tax calculations, filings, and compliance.
Support tax assessments and audits as needed.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Prepare and analyze financial data for management reporting.
Could you help prepare MIS, P&L, and other performance reports?
Audit Support:
Lead ledger reviews and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
Prepare financial and tax audit reports, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements for R2R (Record to Report) functions.
Ensure automation and efficiency in financial operations.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to address GL and reporting requirements.
Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA)
Experience:
5-8 years of experience in GL accounting and book closing roles.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced functions.
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred).
Sound knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
