GLOBAL CONTROLLER
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a VP, Global Controller to support the Chief Financial Officer in managing the organizations financial activities and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role involves overseeing accounting operations, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The Controller also plays a key role in budgeting, financial analysis, and internal controls. This person will be a hands-on change agent with a tenacity to solve a problem and the ability to bridge the gap between FP&A and Accounting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead a team of 12+ and ensure the transparency of resources for the finance department to function efficiently.
Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant standards.
Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by preparing reports, analyzing variances, and providing financial insights to assist in strategic planning.
Assist in the coordination of internal and external audits, including the preparation of supporting documentation and responses to auditor inquiries.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and accounting standards. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of a bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required; CPA designation required.
12+ years working in accounting or finance in Aviation/Aerospace/Manufacturing/ or Logistics, with a minimum of 5+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Experience with mergers & acquisitions and/or private equity is required.
An In-depth understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
Strong experience with large/complex inventory analysis, warehousing of parts and an in-depth understanding of accounting software (ERP) and Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Quantum Control Aviation Software is highly advantageous.
COMPENSATION
