- This is an Senior Financial Accountant role focused on Technology, Value Office and Corporate Centre functions (i.e. Legal, HR, Risk, Marketing, Vendor, CEO, Finance). The role reports directly to the Team Leader APC and will work closely with the Senior Manager Business & Performance Technology, Value Office and Corporate Centre. MUFG Retirement Solutions is a fast paced, and evolving business and your ability to seek opportunities to improve processes and provide insight is critical to the success of this role.
- The role has primary responsibility for supporting the technology, value office and corporate centre accounting, compliance and related reconciliations. The success of this role will require the individual to understand the RS business and control environment as well as being technically strong to ensure transactions are booked appropriately.
- The successful individual will need to be able to work well across borders, within the broader India and Australian teams and have a focus on process improvement.
- Support the Senior Manager BP&A Technology, Projects & Corporate Centre, ensuring technology and corporate centre activities are well understood.
- Able to review accounting practices and ensure transactions are booked appropriately.
- Able to report monthly results and provide business partners with valuable analysis and insights for Technology and Corporate Centre
- Able to adapt quickly and appropriately when processes change.
- Able to drive process improvement.
- Responsible for monthly booking of actuals.
- Ensure adherence to monthly reporting timelines.
- Prepare the analysis and reporting of actuals for the Senior Manager BP&A Technology, Value Office and Corporate Centre.
- Ensure different transaction types are understood and booked to the correct accounts.
- Maintain and ensure compliance with JSOX.
- Ensure processes are improved and automated wherever possible.
- Ensure processes are adapted when transaction types change or upstream processes are changed.
- Contribute to the broader Financial Control RS responsibilities (i.e. JSOX and reconciliations).
- Demonstrate strong self-leadership by showing initiative and demonstrating professional behaviours.
- Work collaboratively with broader finance team members and across the business.
- Actively contribute to the broader team's knowledge and capability.
- Ensure full adherence to legal and regulatory requirements and the good conduct of the businesses, maintaining ongoing compliance and upholding the reputation of MUFG Retirement Solutions.
- Achievement of business objectives and the maintenance of ongoing regulatory compliance.

- 6+ years' experience working in finance roles preferably MNC’s, ideally with some exposure to business partnering role.
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Strong technical finance skills.
- Ability to participate in re-engineering.
- Strong ERP accounting software user.
- Strong numerical and excel skills.
- Self-motivated, organised with a "can do" attitude.
