We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. You will prepare financial statements, verify financial records and transactions, analyze cash flow, review budgets and forecasts, oversee audits, and develop paperwork for regulatory reporting. We are also looking for a Senior Accountant who can provide input into the department s goal setting process and assist with training/reviewing staff s work. How the Senior Accountant will make an impact

How the Senior Accountant will make an impact
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare error-free financial statements and regulatory reporting documents
- Analyze financial reports & summarize financial status
- Maintain account balances and bank statements (including accounts reconciliation)
- Maintain schedules for fixed assets, intangibles, prepaid, short and long term liabilities, etc.
- Assist with audits and taxes
- Prepare financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies, and stockholders
- Manage general ledger and assist month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist the accounting manager in preparing documents and interpreting complicated financial information for managers, executives, and C-Suite executives
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
- Liaison with financial and/or accounting management to improve financial procedures to facilitate a more seamless and efficient experience.
- Make sure that payroll data is properly mapped and recorded on the accounting system.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis, variance explanations, payroll analysis and other types of analysis
- Ensure daily cash posting and periodic bank account and credit card reconciliations
- Other responsibilities (ad-hoc analysis, variance explanations, payroll analysis, and other projects as requested)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business.
- 5 years experience in an accounting function with demonstrated knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- 3+ years of revenue recognition in a multi-site healthcare services environment is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA or CMA) license preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, accounting software (Netsuite preferred) and AP system (AvidXchange)
- Excellent communication skills, as well as attention to detail, aptitude for numbers, quantitative skills, business acumen, and ability to accurately complete assignments by due dates.
- Advanced proficiency & knowledge in required in:
- MS Excel skills, including Vlookup, Pivot tables and Hlookup.
