This position will support the business by ensuring vendors are timely paid, employee expese reports are processed, and the Company's financials are recorded timely and accurately in accordance with GAAP. This position will also support the business in ensuring financial and tax compliance.

Position Purpose:
This position will support the business by ensuring vendors are timely paid, employee expese reports are processed, and the Company's financials are recorded timely and accurately in accordance with GAAP. This position will also support the business in ensuring financial and tax compliance.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
- 0-3 year of accounting experience.
- If a candidate has less than 1 year of experience, must be actively pursuing your CPA.
- CPA or CMA is preferred.
- Experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable processing is a plus.
- Experience with NetSuite a plus. Other related ERP experience is helpful.
- Highly proficient in MS Office
- Understanding of accounting principles.
- Knowledge of state and use taxes is a plus.
- Perform monthly closing activities, including recording journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts with proper support and with minimal error
- Perform all accounts payable functions including:
- Vendor management and communication
- Invoice processing, including review of invoices for sales taxability, PO matching, proper G/L and department code assignment, and ensuring obtainment of proper department approvals
- Cash disbursement processing and reconciliation of check runs to cash - Provide accounting guidance and reports to other departments.
- Perform monthly balance sheet and P&L flux analysis.
- Calculate and process required fees to group purchasing organizations.
- Reconcile and file all state sales and use tax returns.
- Initiate and track all state and local income tax payments.
- Upload fixed asset transactions to the fixed asset system.
- Assist with annual budget process and provide monthly reports.
- Prepare internal and external audit requests.
- Process employee expense reports and assist in corporate credit card issuance, as needed.
- Perform other tasks and special projects as requested.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated; able to manage time and multi-task effectively.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage shifting priorities effectively.
- Able to think critically and make appropriate business decisions.
