Scion Nonprofit Staffing is excited to announce an opportunity for a detail-oriented Controller to join our client's highly regarded organization. This is a part-time, remote, contract-to-hire opportunity with benefits!

Responsibilities:
-Develop, implement, and document financial policies and procedures to establish a strong accounting infrastructure for the newly independent organization.
-Assess current financial processes and recommend best practices to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
-Create user-friendly, comprehensive financial process guides for staff at all levels.
-Prepare and oversee all financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
-Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and applicable regulations.
Manage and optimize the use of Sage Intacct, ensuring data integrity and accurate reporting.
-Foster strong relationships across departments, ensuring collaboration and effective communication.
-Serve as a trusted advisor, providing exceptional customer service to team members at various levels of the organization.
-Serve as a resource to non-financial team members for understanding financial policies and procedures.

Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
-3+ years in a Controller role.
-Sage Intacct is required.
-Non-profit experience preferred.

Compensation:
This position offers a competitive pay rate of $75-$78/hour plus a comprehensive benefits package!
