Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily financial accounting operations, including financial reporting, accounts payable, and payroll services.
- Ensure timely preparation of monthly financial statements and reporting packages, supporting internal and external audits.
- Proactively develop and refine financial tools and reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with accounts receivable teams to optimize billing and cash management processes.
- Ensure compliance with corporate income tax regulations, maintaining accurate and timely tax filings.
- Lead monthly and annual financial closings, ensuring adherence to GAAP and organizational policies.
- Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing insights to support financial goals and operational efficiencies.
- Lead and mentor a team of five, fostering professional growth and departmental excellence.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Experience:
- 5+ years in financial management, preferably in hospitals, healthcare, or senior living industries.
- Previous experience as a Controller, Senior Accountant, or Finance Manager strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Sage 100 or similar accounting systems is a plus.
- Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, tax compliance, and corporate accounting principles.
- Strong ability to identify process improvements and implement solutions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of managing and developing teams.
