Boutique Recruiting has partnered with a leading financial services firm in Los Angeles, CA, to find a highly skilled and motivated Financial Controller. This is an exceptional opportunity for a CPA certified professional with at least 7 years of experience in finance or accounting, including 3 years as a Controller, who are eager to lead financial operations in a high-profile, fast-paced environment. In this role, the Financial Controller will be responsible for managing internal finance across multiple international entities, engaging with the C-Suite, and overseeing cross-country transactions, particularly with the UK, Netherlands, and Sweden. This position reports directly to the CEO and offers the chance to work within an exciting and exclusive industry, with competitive pay, significant bonus potential, and a supportive hybrid work environment.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 / year DOE

Financial Controller Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a Controller role
  • CPA or CIMA certification is required
  • Expertise in QuickBooks Online and multi-entity financial management
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic, high-intensity environment
  • Experience in a CPA firm or law office, particularly in fast-paced settings is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, with a focus on effective management and coaching is desired

Financial Controller Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of internal finance, including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Collaborate closely with C-Suite executives and the international team to manage complex cross-country transactions
  • Manage financial operations across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international standards
  • Work with an experienced contractor and the internal team to handle day-to-day accounting tasks
  • Maintain financial records using QuickBooks Online and Routable for payments
  • Apply the EVA (Economic Value Added) model to assess business performance and inform bonus calculations
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance financial efficiency
