Job Description
Act as a financial steward of the Company's assets by taking ownership of the financial reporting process, oversee internal control implementation, assists with budget preparation, ensures reporting compliance and manages the transaction reporting processes for two operational facilities in separate geographical locations.
Key responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of day-to-day accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, payroll and fixed assets
• Evaluate and enhance financial systems and processes to streamline workflows and financial reporting
• Establish and maintain manufacturing cost accounting processes that support accurate product costing
• Collaborate with Operations to analyze and optimize processes and identify cost reduction opportunities
• Develop and manage the Company's financial dashboards, KPI's, and other related business reporting requirements
• Prepare and submit financial and supplemental data for Corporate reporting and consolidation
• Ensure compliance with Corporate policies and procedures and tax regulations
• Other special projects as needed
Candidate Overview
Educational/Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required), CPA preferred
• Minium of 5-years of progressive accounting/financial experience in a manufacturing environment
• Minimum of 3-years of supervisory experience
• Data management/warehousing experience and basic knowledge of SQL reporting
Required Competencies:
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting concepts and principles, including IFRS/GAAP, financial reporting and internal controls
• Ability to effectively manage a team, with an emphasis on developing talent and maximizing team performance
• Problem solving skills with a critical thinking mindset
• Combine strategic financial oversight with hands-on involvement with day-to-day activities
• Proficiency in building BI tools enabling insightful analysis
