Looking for a detail oriented individual for a company that is involve in both manufacturing and software development. This individual will be responsible for the operational oversite of the accounting and administrative operations of the company and will have the opportunity to have a daily impact on results.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Plans and coordinates the work of accounting and administrative staff.

Oversees accounting and administrative staff and ensures that they meet goals and objectives.

Works with senior management to recruit additional accounting staff as needed.

Assists in conducting performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

Provides training and mentoring as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.

Reviews and oversees the accounts payable process

Assess spending and make recommendations on control efforts

Assists on billing issues, accounts receivable and collections

Maintains and evaluates vendor relationships

Monitors and approves significant purchases (i.e. steel, equipment)

Oversees the production of routine financial reports and closing of books; ensures that the reported results comply with accounting standards.

Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company's performance.

Assists in producing annual budgets and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.

Performs reconciliations or reviews prepared reconciliations, as appropriate to maintain internal controls

Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.

Works with external tax team and provides needed information for taxes.

Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

Set and monitor goals for the accounting department

Assists in insurance renewals and evaluations

Report on overall efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting and administrative department to applicable senior management

Performs other related duties as required.

Proficient in QuickBooks.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Proficiency with/ability to learn proprietary company management software (EMS).

Possess a Warrior's Spirit and a Servant's Heart

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree required;

CPA license preferred.

At least eight years of related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Travel as required

Office out of the Mabank Location

Maximized office attendance required
