Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing the general ledger, and assisting with financial reporting. The Staff Accountant will also assist in the day-to-day operations of the accounting team and play a key role in ensuring the financial integrity of the organization.

Job Duties

  • Manage the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Ensure compliance with India GAAP reporting requirements, as well as India tax requirements
  • Prepare reports and journal entries for financial close
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and other regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with business partners for monthly expense accruals
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations as part of Month-end close
  • Support completion of annual financial and regulatory audits
  • Assist with India’s statutory audit

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting preferred
  • Public accounting experience preferred, Big 4 firm preferred
  • Knowledge of India and US GAAP, and other regulatory requirements for India-based companies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and accounting software, Workday and Salesforce preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • CPA candidate preferred
  • Public company experience is a plus
  • Proven experience solving complex problems with independent judgment
  • Background in multiple currency reporting
