Remote Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will oversee the company's accounting functions, ensuring that financial reports are accurate, compliant with accounting principles, and completed in a timely manner. This individual will work closely with senior management and other departments to support financial planning, budgeting, and decision-making processes.

They are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our finance team and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Description

• Manage and lead the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Coordinate and support the annual audit process with external auditors.
• Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of all accounts, including bank reconciliations and balance sheet accounts.
• Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Lead the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and analysis to senior management.
• Assist in tax compliance, preparing tax returns and ensuring adherence to tax regulations.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
• Provide support in business analysis and decision-making by offering financial insights and guidance.
• Work collaboratively with other departments, including operations, marketing, and sales, to align financial strategies with business goals.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Experience in the cosmetics, retail, or consumer goods industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and MS Excel
