Job Summary:
We seek an experienced and strategic Senior Manager of Accounting with a proven track record in managing multi-country payroll and developing scalable financial processes for startups. The ideal candidate will lead global payroll operations, ensure compliance with international accounting standards, and design efficient processes to support a rapidly growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Payroll Management:

  • Oversee payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Manage payroll providers, vendors, and in-country specialists.

  • Ensure timely processing of payroll, tax filings, and compliance reporting.


Accounts Payable (AP) Management:

  • Lead and manage the AP team to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.

  • Establish and enforce AP policies, procedures, and internal controls.

  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment issues.


Financial Processes Development:

  • Design, implement, and optimize scalable accounting and payroll processes.

  • Establish best practices for payroll accounting, reconciliations, and reporting.

  • Lead automation and system enhancement projects to streamline workflows.


Compliance and Audit:

  • Ensure adherence to international financial reporting standards (IFRS, GAAP).

  • Oversee tax compliance, payroll audits, and statutory filings.

  • Maintain updated knowledge of international payroll regulations and tax laws.


Team Leadership:

  • Build and mentor a high-performing accounting and payroll team.

  • Provide leadership, performance management, and career development.


Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with HR, Legal, and Finance teams to align payroll and accounting functions.

  • Collaborate on compensation, benefits, and global expansion initiatives.


Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 12 years in global payroll management and financial process development, preferably in a startup environment.
Skills:

  • Expertise in international payroll and multi-country tax compliance.

  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday) and accounting tools.

  • Excellent process design, project management, and leadership skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ERP implementations and global expansion projects.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
