Job Title: Lead - Accounting
About the Role
MRO is seeking an experienced and highly professional to join our India Accounting team. As a Lead - Accounting, you’ll assist and contribute to perform GL and month end activities to comply with MRO policies, procedures and deadlines. You will play a key role in supporting our statutory compliance and in implementing process improvements. You are one who loves challenging opportunities and thrives in a dynamic environment with strict deadlines on a consistent basis.
Major Responsibilities:
Monthly financial close process for MRO India business, ensuring all costs is accurately recorded
Responsible for managing fixed asset accounting including Asset capitalization, Retirement, Disposal & Depreciation
Preparation of monthly fixed assets roll-forward and reconciliation
Record and reconcile all prepaid expenses and ensure accurate monthly postings.
Month-end accruals / provisioning and allocations
Record & reconcile Inter-company transactions, including foreign currency accounting
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations ensuring accuracy and adherence to SOX controls
Perform GL scrutiny and monthly/quarterly/annual trend analysis
Preparation of data for various statutory return filings (TDS, GST, etc.) & data for GST refund claims
Ensure compliance with internal control policies and statutory requirements
Support on annual audits and ad-hoc task / projects, as required
Education & Work Experience (Required):
CA Inter/ M. Com/ MBA-Finance/ Commerce graduate (B.com. /BBA) with 6-8 years of relevant experience
Hands-on experience in GL / R-2-R function is a must
Strong understanding of core accounting principles & local GAAP standards
Working knowledge in excel with advance excel functions
Working knowledge in MS Dynamics 365 Business Central, or any other similar ERP is preferred
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
Attention to detail and ability to maintain financial records in a fast-paced environment
