Role and Responsibilities
Accounting Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and manage the general ledger by recording financial transactions accurately, ensuring completeness and compliance with accounting standards.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records and resolve discrepancies.
- Monthly Closing: Assist in the monthly closing process by preparing and reviewing financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss accounts.
- Tax Compliance: Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with local tax regulations (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.).
- Internal Controls: Assist in ensuring the implementation and maintenance of financial controls, procedures, and best practices.
- Audit Coordination: Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and clarifications.
MIS Responsibilities:
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data to produce regular MIS reports (daily,weekly, monthly, quarterly).
- Analysis of Budget vs. Actuals-Perform regular analysis of budgeted versus actual financial performance, identifying variances and providing insights into the reasons behind them. Prepare variance reports and present findings to senior management, offering recommendations for corrective actions where necessary
- Data Accuracy and Integrity: Ensure data entered into the MIS system is accurate, consistent, and timely.
- KPIs and Dashboards: Create and manage dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and other relevant metrics to support business decisions.
- Ad-Hoc Reports: Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested by senior management for business planning, performance evaluation, and strategic decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: CA/CA inter/ MBA Finance
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in accounting and MIS reporting, preferably in a corporate or finance environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software preferably Zoho books.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
