Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all controllership functions in the operating company, including general accounting, financial reporting, and financial systems.
- Set clear targets, considering stakeholder priorities, and ensure accountability for support quality and overall stakeholder satisfaction.
- Maintain awareness of operating company risks, operational issues, and challenges, proactively intervening when required, and providing detailed updates to senior management.
- Achieve and maintain closing timetables, ensuring compliance with regulatory, statutory, and tax requirements.
- Support the development of regional accounting policies and procedures, presenting financial statements for the assigned region.
- Coordinate year-end statutory, audit, and tax financial requirements, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations.
- Resolve technical accounting matters, conduct research, and liaise closely with the accounting operations team.
- Oversee the control environment, ensuring appropriate design and consistent execution.
- Assist with systems implementations and enhancements, focusing on maintaining the integrity of financial data, processes, and controls.
Qualifications:
- MBA or Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a similar discipline.
- CPA license.
- Multiple years of finance experience, with a significant portion in a controllership-focused role (Controller or Assistant Controller).
- Management responsibilities in a matrixed environment.
- Multiple years of large public accounting experience.
- Strong work history in large, complex working environments.
