Woodstock's is ranked for sales among independent pizzerias nationally, with sales of nearly $26 million annually. We have been serving legendary pizzas, brews and good times for 40 years. We are looking for someone to take us to the next level manage and optimize the overall financial health of the organization while maintaining a servant-leadership approach to support our teams. Our team includes:

One Direct Report - Accounting Manager
Operations teams at both the administrative and store levels
HR, Marketing, and IT professionals in the Admin office

Work Location: San Diego/Pacific Beach Admin office

Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000

Report to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Accounting Systems and Process (45%)
Oversee, manage, and ensure the consistent function of the following accounting functions:
Timely financial statement generation on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis
Accounts payables, including Positive Pay theft controls
Accounts receivables, managing to an acceptable level of aging
General ledger and accruals
Cash and banking reconciliations
Work with the Director of IT to manage and optimize the various technological systems and platforms related to accounting and finance

Financial Strategy, Planning and Analysis (25%)
Lead strategic financial planning at the Director level.
Report to the executive team on financial performance utilizing KPIs and other data-driven metrics
Lead and execute the annual budget process for all aspects of the Company including individual store budgets and overhead cost centers.
Advise COO/CEO and Ownership on opportunities that increase company value and cash resources
Manage and monitor KPIs and other metrics to ensure optimal financial company performance
Produce ad hoc analyses for teams to assess ROI and various financial opportunities
Work with CPA firm to provide needed financial statements and information to ensure timely and accurate federal and state tax payments
Teach, develop, and serve all levels of the organization in the areas of finance and accounting

Team Financial Support and Development (10%)
Directly manage the Accounting Manager to support all areas of the department
Support store-level managers and team members to ensure store-level reporting, cash management, payroll, and other bookkeeping items.
Utilize a servant leadership approach to develop our teams to grow in areas of managerial accounting, utilizing KPIs to achieve financial goals, and operate the restaurants more profitably.
Support and develop fellow Directors and managers in the area of accounting and finance

Payroll (10%)
Support the HR Manager in areas of payroll where it integrates with accounting
File and audit all related taxes and filings
Oversee payroll taxes
Collaborate with HR to provide various information needed

Other Duties (10%)
Monitor and audit expenses to ensure contract compliance; monitor expense trends to identify opportunities to increase profit
Annual federal and state legal filings
Lease and vendor contract management and monitoring
Cash flow monitoring and management
Manage and monitor banking relationships

Requirements:
Professional Requirements
Computer systems knowledge including Windows OS, Restaurant365, Excel, MS-Office & Google Workspace suite of services.
Critical thinker and excellent problem solver.

Physical Requirements
Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds
