Job Purpose
The position ensures:
Working in a Finance team with a control mindset and understanding banking products, accounting norms and regulations. Should have a good understanding on the General Ledger Reconciliation and Substantiation process.

- Ensure all daily, weekly and monthly control dashboards and prepared on time as per agreed timelines with stakeholders
- Independently manage the General Ledger Reconciliation and Substantiation process by liaising with all departments
Required Experience
- Minimum 8 to 9 years’ experience in Financial Controls
- Good working knowledge of MS-Excel and Powerpoint
- Automation and Reengineering of processes
Education / Preferred Qualifications
CA with minimum 4-5 years post-qualification experience in banking

Key Accountabilities
Fulfil all responsibilities in relation to:
- Financial Controls - monitoring & review of account balances and movements on a monthly basis. Responsible for the validity & correctness of the Bank’s ledger account balances. Reconciliation of account balances across the bank’s data systems along with an understanding of the substantiation process. Working with Account owners for resolution of the breaks with Tech
- Internal Controls - Lead the control and operational risk agenda for finance; responsible to run the process to ensure adequate controls are in place; identify and manage Risk Control Self Assessments (RCSAs), KRIs, etc.
- Quality Assurance Reviews - Do an independent assessment of the reconciliation and substantiation process being followed by Account Owners of the balance sheet across the Bank.
- Manual Journal Entries Control - Manage the MJE policy and ensure that MJEs passed in system are as per policy and have proper documentation
- Management of procedure manuals (SOP’s) relating to all desks under the Finance functions and conducting process reviews
- Coordinate the finance function’s BCP policy and implementation
- Supervising new product approval process for identifying ownership and ensuring external source report is available for the GLs in new product
