Financial Controller

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management in our fast-paced commercial company. Our business specializes in the sale of hardwood flooring and operates across multiple regions with a complex revenue and inventory system. The Financial Controller will manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis while ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role will also play a key role in cost control by managing and distinguishing between controllable and non-controllable expenses, providing actionable insights to drive operational efficiency.

Requirements
Qualifications

• Education:
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance is a plus.
• Experience:
  7+ years of experience in financial management or accounting, with at least 3 years in a financial controller or similar role. Experience in the commercial sector, specifically in sales or inventory-intensive businesses, is highly preferred.
• Certifications:
  Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is strongly preferred.
• Skills:
  

• Proficiency in Accounting systems and financial reporting software.
  
• Strong expertise in revenue recognition, inventory accounting, and cost allocation methods.
  
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial analysis.
  
• In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  
• Excellent understanding of internal controls and financial compliance.
  
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to manage complex financial systems and processes across multiple regions.
  

Working Conditions

• Full-time position with occasional overtime during critical reporting periods.
