Description
Deputy Manager - Finance' responsibilities include managing the Inventory, Revenue Fixed Asset areas, preparing month-end close procedures, reconciling account balances, maintaining general ledger supporting the Entity Controller to sussessfully achieve the overall goals of the Organisation. Also support FP&A in forecasting / AOP activities. A successful Senior accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles, and execution of defined processes within SOX Framework. Should be self-driven to achieve the desired objectives and results.
Controllership Activities
Perform US and Local GAAP month-end closing activities: journals booking, HFM reporting, month end schedules.
Coordinates with Site Finance leaders to ensure timely flow of information.
Prepares, reviews and controls accounting journals.
Ensure all journal entries comply with internal and external audit specifications.
Perform monthly account reconciliations, ensuring sufficient and quality back-ups.
Prepare periodically reports requested by local regulations (e.g. Statistics and other regulatory reporting).
Support the annual US GAAP / statutory / SOX / Cost audits.
Coordinate with external auditor and prepare deliverables for local statutory audit, deep review of the Financial statements.
Maintain Control over the Fixed Asset related activities like CIP/CFT control, capitalization of assets, SEA Adherence, with zero delays.
Drive end to end Fixed Asset Physical verification and Tagging processes, to enable control over physical assets.
Seek opportunities for central testing, automatization and process efficiencies.
May establish, modify, document and co-ordinate implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
E&O Evaluation, monitoring & booking into SAP post requisite SCM, Finance approvals.
Cost Accounting & Commercial Finance Activities
Pricing Accrual Schedule & Pricing Metrix reporting to Local, Global Customer management Teams.
Produces routine reports, schedules, and summaries for management.
May prepare reports for local regulators upon request.
Participate in the Forecasting & AOP activities to a level of accuracy and within the critical timelines.
Inventory C14Cycle Count monitoring, Standard Cost update in SAP, on obtaining relevant approvals from SBM and Finance.
Yearly & Quarterly Transfer Price working, approvals, and circulation to internal SCM, PA Teams.
Backflush error resolution in SAP.
Education :BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant, preferbly from a recognized CA/CMA institute. CA/CMA/MBA is a must.
Experience : 3-5 years of experience with GL, FA, P2I functions, and month-end/year-end close process

Fluent in English
Motivated self-starter; proactive in identifying issues along with recommending issue resolution
