Join us as a Financial Control Team Manager

  • You’ll be responsible for the delivery and integrity of monthly financial information, including balance sheet, profit and loss account and supporting data, and statutory and external reporting
  • Make the accurate delivery of financial information and data, including balance sheet substantiation and reconciliation and fixed assets accounting
  • With significant exposure, you’ll enjoy extensive networking as you liaise with multiple stakeholders
  • We're offering this role at associate vice president level


What you'll do

With accountability for all accounting assurances as per our policy, you’ll make sure that the impacts of external and internal changes in policy and legislation are fully embedded on time. You’ll conduct impact assessment of issues on overall financials, downstream processes and associated communications with different stakeholders. And you’ll also set control frameworks and deliverable governance framework aligned to our overall strategy, ensuring adherence to the strategy, operating model and process architecture principles.

In addition to this, you’ll:

  • Deliver full substantiation and reconciliation of the balance sheet and profit and loss accounts within a controlled framework, and understand key business drivers
  • Monitor data analysis, consolidation and inputs for external reporting, including statutory reporting, central bank including tactical reporting, liquidity reporting and asset protection scheme
  • Oversee and make sure that processes and procedures adhere to the appropriate policies and control environment governance, including SOX
  • Set and manage internal controls, such as the develop control framework and monitor and report on internal controls
  • Develop the people and technical skills of your team, and manage the career paths and retention of high potentials


The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, we’re looking for an individual with a wealth of relevant experience in a large multinational organisation. You’ll hold a CA or MBA qualification, with proficiency in accounting, and will bring substantial experience in a financial services environment, preferably procure to pay.

With extensive experience, you’ll have the proven ability to drive culture and generate several ways forward to achieve individual objectives.

We’ll also look to you to bring:
  • At least seven years of experience
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of relevant systems
  • Experience of implementing business process and procedural change in a complex business environment
  • Strong experience in banking payment systems, interlinked financial systems and accounting procedures
  • Experience in consolidation, ledger closure and external reporting
  • The ability to implement operating model and strategic change
