Job Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished Finance Controller to lead financial operations across multiple businesses, geographies, systems, and tools in a Shared Services environment. The ideal candidate is a Chartered Accountant with 10+ years of experience, skilled in controlling, reporting, process optimization, and team leadership. This role emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, collaboration, and talent development in a dynamic, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Controlling and Reporting
Oversee month-end close, general ledger management, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews across multiple businesses and geographies, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Deliver error-free monthly global reporting, adhering to strict timelines and maintaining the highest quality standards.
Drive balance sheet improvements by identifying risks, optimizing processes, and enhancing financial performance.
Leverage data analytics to provide actionable insights, identify trends, and support decision-making.
Ensure compliance with Indian GAAP, with working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance as an advantage.
Implement and maintain internal controls to mitigate risks and ensure financial integrity.
Manage internal and external audits, ensure timely completion, compliance with regulations, and implementation of recommendations to enhance financial controls.
2. Process Management
Lead automation initiatives to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency across systems and tools.
Optimize operational banking, payment workflows, and revenue processes to support global operations.
Develop and standardize SOPs across multiple businesses and geographies, ensuring alignment with stakeholders.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement, regularly reviewing and enhancing processes to meet evolving business needs.
3. Team and Business Collaboration
Build and lead a high-performing finance team, ensuring clear goals, accountability, and opportunities for growth.
Develop team capabilities through training programs, coaching, and fostering a culture of excellence.
Collaborate with global and regional teams to align financial processes and reporting with business goals.
Partner with business leaders to provide strategic insights on financial performance, cost management, and profitability.
Effectively engage with diverse teams across multiple geographies, leveraging cultural competency to drive alignment and results.
Qualifications
• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10+ years of experience in financial control, reporting, and team leadership in a global organization.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams while fostering collaboration across geographies.
• Strong operational understanding of trade compliance, banking processes, taxes, and transfer pricing.
• Expertise in leveraging systems and tools for financial operations and reporting.
• Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality financial reporting and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency in Indian GAAP, with knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance as a plus.
