Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President - Financial Planning & Analysis
This position requires excellent analytical, team leadership & strategic thinking skills and ability to partner with senior stakeholders in multiple functions to deliver & transforming financial reporting and drive actionable strategic insights. You will work closely with senior management to develop and implement strategies that will streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive growth. This is a people leader role.
Responsibilities
• Key responsibility will be to work with different teams within corporate finance, business finance, controllership etc. to stich the story together and draw out key insights/ drive new analytics around different areas of company’s top-line and growth areas
• Think out of the box and be an ace in storytelling and executive presence.
• To be able to do above its important this person to be an SME in Finance Planning and Analytics / management reporting.
• Identify opportunities for standardization and automation of processes and ways of working to drive efficiency in finance organization.
• Experience in preparation and review of Operating Plan/budgets and forecasts/outlook
• Management reporting (MIS reports, Revenue Analysis, Variance Analysis) with detailed commentary and analysis
• Review business performance and support decision making by providing stakeholders with meaningful insights and visibility on business performance on regular basis.
• Generate insights into business performance to help drive improved financial results and facilitate fact-based decision making.
• Drive discussions with senior stake holders to extract insights, understand business on the ground, act as a fact-based challenger, and then build a crisp narrative.
• Should have experience in scenario building, what if analysis to understand the financial impacts of various operational decisions.
• Lead and develop a diverse finance team, maintain the motivation levels and also build a bench of future finance leaders
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum qualifications
• Certified Chartered Accountant or an MBA with FP&A / finance background ...preferably from Software / IT companies having project and license-based business
• Upbeat, confident, outspoken & good in communication
• Partner Management and Influencing skills
• Executive presence
• Attention to detail
• People leadership experience
• Proficient knowledge of MS office tools & financial systems (e.g. Oracle, Hyperion etc.)
Preferred qualifications
• Sound understanding of FP&A domain - Financial Planning, Analytics, Commercial acumen to manage P&L / costs etc.
