Summary of the Sr. Accountant I, Revenue (invoicing)
The Senior Accountant I, Revenue will support all aspects of the revenue cycle within the organization. This position has specific responsibility in ensuring billing is timely and accurately products. This position will assist with customer-related questions and issues concerning billings as well as review and prepare month-end entries.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with and analyze large volumes of data, as they will be responsible for customer invoicing. The role will participate in month end close and reporting. The ideal candidate works well through ambiguity, thrives in a fast-paced and changing environment, and possesses excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities for the Sr. Accountant I, Revenue (invoicing)
- Review formatted data for invoicing
- Generate invoices for all service types and frequencies - credit memos, usage reports, new contracts, etc.
- Perform QA on all invoices prior to finalization
- Create revenue dashboards to analyze trends at the customer and product level
- Process credit memos and reconcile customer accounts as appropriate
- Work collaboratively with contracts and other customer operations departments
- Work collaboratively with IT to ensure data accuracy (for data used to invoice)
- Identify anomalies in data trends and research discrepancies
- Prepare and assist with month end closing and reporting
- Troubleshoot issues that may lead to errors
- Answer customer invoice questions
Qualifications of the Sr. Accountant I, Revenue (invoicing)
- Bachelor’s Degree: Accounting Degree strongly preferred
- Chartered Accountant, or equivalent preferred
- 5+ years of revenue recognition experience in a software or technology company that has both a complex and recurring revenue stream
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
- Experience with sending out invoices
- Experience using MS Suite - Outlook, Word, Intermediate Excel
- Experience connecting with US-based customers via video conferences (Zoom, Teams, Skype, etc.)
- Intermediate Salesforce
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of the Sr. Accountant, Revenue (invoicing)
- Customer service skills to answer customer questions via email
- Strong written English to respond to customer questions via email
- Ability to thrive and work in a fast paced environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies with historical invoicing and contract modifications
