We are looking to hire someone immediately, and fly them straight out to the UK for a comprehensive handover with our CFO and current FD.

Primary Job Purpose

Group FD will be pivotal in supporting the recently appointed CFO in delivering an ambitious growth strategy and creating fit for purpose Corporate Center. They will be responsible for strengthening financial governance and controls environment as the business positions for growth and developing and implementing robust management accounting and financial reporting processes.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with AIM listing requirements and other relevant regulatory bodies. Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under IFRS.

• Business Planning: Lead the annual budgeting process and engage with departmental heads to ensure financial objectives are integrated into their respective operational plans.

• Operational Oversight: Oversee local financial operations, ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of processes.

• Controls environment: Strengthen the key controls and governance processes across the business

• Team Leadership: Mentor and lead the geographically diverse finance team, ensuring professional development and the consistent application of best practices.

• Systems & Processes: Improve the capabilities of Microsoft Business Central to streamline processes, enhance reporting, and support the business's growth ambitions.

• Work closely with the Group’s tax advisers to ensure compliance with corporate taxes across Group’s jurisdictions

• Support the CFO with the upcoming corporate finance and commercial projects across the business

Person Specification

• Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA)

• Significant experience, 10+ years, in a senior finance role within the manufacturing sector, preferably in the automotive industry

• Experience managing finances for organisations with revenues upwards of $140m and staff of 1,500 employees.

• Strong integrity and excellent judgement required

• Commercially focused with strong technical accounting skills

• Communicates effectively and has exceptional English written and verbal communication skills

• Professional attitude with appreciation of wider business objectives

• Develops strong working relationships with colleagues across departments and seniority levels

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to plan, prioritise and meet tight deadlines

• Flexibility in approach and able to adapt to a variety of the situations

• Ability to learn quickly and think on their feet
