In this role, you will work to ensure high qualitative financial reporting and support the timely filing of statutory financial statements of the company. You will work with a global team to align with accounting regulations across different countries and be a crucial collaborator in different business matters to assess impact on financial statements and reporting.

What you will do

As part of the Global Financial Reporting team, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements under different accounting standards and liaise with the internal and external auditors. You will partner with teams throughout Nasdaq, including Accounting, Internal Auditors, Tax and Legal to ensure the integrity of financial statements, applicable financial statement analysis, and other supporting documentation. This position is key to comply with statutory reporting in different countries
  • Preparing annual financial statements, supporting interim audits, identifying differences between US GAAP and local accounting standards for Nasdaq’s legal entities predominately in the APAC region (for example - AUS, IND, PHI, HK, SG)
  • Preparing supporting schedules for account balances and disclosures (including but not limited to intercompany, PPE and intangibles)Coordinate the external audit processes and supervise audit progress
  • Assist with the collection, analysis, documentation, and review of financial information underlying disclosures
  • Be able to research and interpret accounting pronouncements and literature while working on management and statutory reporting. Experience in leases, R&D and ESOP accounting preferred.
  • Keep up to date with new accounting regulations in the various countries and provide updates to the organization on a regular basis.
  • Help reporting manager in driving special projects and workflow process improvements on an ad hoc basis.

You will report to the Director - Financial Reporting based in the Mumbai office.

What We Expect
  • 2 to 4 years of experience gained in auditing and reporting on public accounts
  • Chartered Accountancy/CPA Certification is a must. Big 4 or Tier 2 CA firms experience a plus.
  • IFRS, USGAAP and local accounting standards technical knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills and numerate ability
  • Must be proficient in Excel and have proven understanding of Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills with the proven track record to get along with all levels of staff and management as with third party service providers
  • The ideal candidate is self-motivated, deadline-oriented, organized, and a hands-on team player with excellent problem-solving skills. A "roll-up-the-sleeves" approach is required, and comfort with a multifaceted, unstructured environment is crucial.
  • Systems experience (Preferred) -
  • Experience with Workiva (Wdesk) and XBRL
  • Experience in using Workday as an accounting tool
