About the Role:

CrowdStrike India is looking for a candidate experienced in multi-entity payroll accounting. The role of the Team Lead responsible for payroll entails reviewing payroll journal entries and reconciliations, relevant reports, estimating and compiling company payroll into the general ledger and flux analysis. It is required to work collaboratively with the payroll operations team to make sure that there is smooth delivery of payroll to the company’s workforce.

What You'll Do:
  • Review and approve the net pay to employees and manage tax withholding payments in the journal ledger.
  • Process, review and post journal records for payroll and bank transactions.
  • Accounting for the ESPP and Share Based compensation transactions, as per applicable standards.
  • Expert in preparing and reviewing payroll account reconciliations and conduct analysis of operational data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Summarize financial trends for responding in monthly trend calls, respond to queries, and create comprehensive reports.
  • Lead and supervise the team, manage day-to-day operation and month end close to ensure deadlines and deliverables are submitted accurately and on time
  • Lead in support for various payroll-related audits, including benefits and pension audits conducted by third parties.
  • Support the statutory audit process, preparation and review of statutory financial statements and drive the audit closure.
  • Complete monthly, quarterly and annual reporting schedules, and maintain correspondence with the global accounting team in the US according to established timelines.
  • Review and monitor closely various account schedules and other required analysis for external auditors.
  • Collaborating with Payroll operations, and other departments to manage payroll-related inquiries from accounting perspective.
  • Guide team in development and documentation of processes and procedures, monitoring of internal controls and identification of opportunities for efficiencies.
  • Ad hoc projects, as deemed necessary.


What You'll Need:
  • Strong written & oral communication skills
  • Proven experience in payroll management, managing a team and compliance with international accounting standards.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity.
  • Positive attitude, passionate and a self-starter
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills to manage multiple task and deadlines.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to perform multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Able to review and analyze a process, recommend and implement improvements.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • MBA/MCom/CA
  • 8-10 years of experience in Global payroll accounting (EMEA, APAC and AMER)
  • Display of proficiency in US GAAP, Local GAAP and general payroll practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools for preparing reconciliation and report (Net Suite Preferred).
  • Experience working with a "Shared Resource Centre".
