Key Responsibilities
- Ensure collaboration between in-country finance team and KL BSC team to ensure completion of monthly/quarterly/yearly Corp deadlines. Drive compliance of EW accounting policies and internal controls. This includes US GAAP and SOX compliance.
- Advise country leadership teams on financial, operational and strategic issues. Set finance strategy to optimize business processes by assessing business needs and developing, proposing and implementing solutions
- Lead direct/indirect tax compliance, financial reporting, treasury, internal/external audits and compliance activities.
- Lead FP&A activities for Country P&L and group support functions including AOP exercise
- Identify opportunities and lead the implementation of changes to drive improvements for in-country finance teams and KL BSC
- Provide coaching, people management and leadership to in-country finance teams
- Other incidental duties
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance. Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is preferred
- Overall acumen of all accounting aspects, US GAAP knowledge is required
- Experience with SOX requirements is a required
- 8+ years in leadership of MNC shared service center and people management positions
Additional Skills:
- Proven successful people management and leadership skills
- Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel, database tools (e.g., QlikView), financial systems, and ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP)
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
- Expert understanding of accounting and financial processes and curiosity to look beyond existing methodologies and own discipline to define and resolve complex problems
- Extensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
- Demonstrated ability to manage assigned team and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations
- Transparent leader with a high level of integrity and track record of building trust-based relationships internally and externally
- Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
- Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment
- Manage, including through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing
- Develop peer, cross functional and cross business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness.

- Support and solicit input from team members at all levels within the organization
