We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team and oversee our General Ledger functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and a demonstrated ability to manage complex financial data accurately and efficiently.

- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Analyze financial data and variances to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting requirements and provide timely and accurate information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Participate in the development and execution of process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
- Support external audits and internal audits as necessary, including preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and addressing any audit findings or recommendations.
- Mentor and train junior staff members, providing guidance and support to facilitate their professional development and growth within the organization.
- Stay current with accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant CA (Mandatory).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on General Ledger accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial accounting principles, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience mentoring and developing staff members preferred.
- Work experience as an Accountant.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
