Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manager Accounting to join our GLBL BusSvcs Tax-Bangalore _Global Finance Services Division Team

The incumbent is expected to lead a small team as well as independently perform varied complex tasks related to EMEA VAT including in depth knowledge on transactional processing, setting right VAT process for each of the activities, reviewing the Input Tax Credit, review of accounts postings, payment of taxes, preparation and review of monthly returns, E-Filing of various returns including monthly, quarterly and annual returns, providing necessary information to regional SMEs and to respond back for tax assessment queries to Tax Authorities as may be necessary, reconciliation of accounts, providing Management Information Reports, Global Vat Compliance, and other assignments that are assigned from time to time.

The preference for this role is to be based out of Whitefield Office, Bangalore, India

What you will do
  • Self-starter - Able to quickly learn and perform day to activities independently. Should quickly step up to handle more complex activities with minimal supervisor support.
  • Process Driven - Should follow process and invest sufficient time in documentation of the process with focus on attention to detail.
    • Monthly Book closure -Handle US GAAP Legal entity closings related to indirect tax accounts for the legal entities handled from Bangalore. Responsible for fairly reflecting indirect tax accounts in the ledger.
  • Monthly Reconciliations - Preparation of indirect tax related reconciliations with high complexity related to balance sheet accounts. Also manage turnover reconciliations to manage tax authorities requirements.
  • Audit support - Statutory audit support including preparation of VAT schedules and handle all indirect tax related questions from audit team and coordinate with legal entity managers for various tax issues.
  • Tax filing - Coordinates with external consultants and Global Tax teams to support tax return of various legal entities handled at Bangalore. Also coordinate with Global tax team in providing information for tax audits and tax assesments.
  • Process improvement projects -Participate and lead process improvement projects to improve existing process. Use principles of lean, six sigma and built in process in accounting and reporting processes. Takes active part in process automation and providing dash board reporting using data analytics and other tools.


What you will have
  • CA/CPA with 5-8 years post qualification experience or graduate with 10 + years of relevant indirect tax experience
  • Big 4 experience preferred. Good communication skills and willingness to work beyond the job profile for maximum visibility in the ever-growing organization.
