Job Type: Temporary (3-Month Assignment)
Salary: $22.00 - $28.00/hour (DOE)

Accountants Position Overview:
We are recruiting on behalf of a respected local plumbing company for a Temporary Accountant position. This 3-month assignment offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled accounting professional to make an impact on the companys finance team.

The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in job costing, revenue recognition, and accounts receivable to excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities for the Accounting position:

• Job Costing and Invoicing: Track daily job completions and manage job costing and invoicing efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


• Revenue and Order Management: Oversee order entry, review, and revenue recognition, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.


• Accounts Receivable and Collections: Manage accounts receivable aging, match payments, and handle collections as required to support cash flow.


• Ledger and Deposit Reconciliation: Process and post daily bank deposits and reconcile them to the general ledger to ensure accuracy.


• Bank and Credit Card Reconciliation: Assist the Assistant Controller with monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.


• Invoice Review and Payment Matching: Review invoices for completeness, post them to the general ledger, and ensure payments align with closed invoices.


• Union Reporting Assistance: Support Union Reporting requirements for compliance.


• Collaborative Team Support: Provide general accounting support to team members and conduct research as needed.

Qualifications for the Accounting position:

• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in accounting, ideally within plumbing, heating, or construction industries.


• Accounting Knowledge: Proficiency in managerial accounting with a focus on job costing and revenue tracking.


• High-Volume Comfort: Ability to thrive in a high-transaction environment with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.


• Detail-Oriented and Communicative: Strong attention to detail, clear communication skills, and a commitment to accuracy.


• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with ComputerEase or similar accounting software is preferred.
