Role Description:
Investment Equity Governance, Accounting & Reporting, IC & Opex COE, GFO
Financial Analyst is a key role in providing accounting advisory and reporting governance to the LE Controllership organization. This role will be based in Gurgaon and reporting to the Delivery Leader-Finance. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for assessing and mitigating E2E impact on Investment Equity process pursuant to Legal Entity restructuring, liquidation, sale and acquisition and drive governance & Reporting to LE controllers and other impacted stakeholders
- Tracking and governing Investment Equity out of balance and reporting the same during close
- Ensure strong collaboration with the relevant stakeholders and support enterprise initiatives that may have a potential impact on Investment Equity process.
- Tracking and governing Investment Equity out of balance and the reporting the same during closeChart of Account governance for Investment and Equity transactions:
- Monitor adherence to defined policies and processes to ensure quality of service, control and compliance are as desired.
- Support compliance procedures e.g. PRSA SOX control testing, external and internal audits.
- Identifies opportunities for improving service delivery levels including automation and other value add efforts.
Experience:
- 3 years of experience in Investment Equity and/or Consolidation process and strong understanding of associated US GAAP is a must
- Strong understanding of American Express business processes, financial systems and LE structure
- Functional understanding of consolidation process & reporting
- Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills
- Good analytical skills and able to connect business drivers and linkages
- Has ability to solve problems and identify opportunities for improvements
- Has ability to design, implement, manage and streamline complex processes
- Has excellent experience with Control and Compliance requirements
- Project management experience in handling and managing large projects
- Demonstrated experience of managing ambiguous situations or initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
- Professional finance qualification is preferred (CA or CPA) or a degree in Finance/Accounts with minimum 5 years of experience.
