Position Overview:
The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of CandleScience, including financial planning, risk management, record-keeping, and financial reporting. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will provide strategic leadership and collaborate closely with the executive team to drive the company's growth and profitability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives, ensuring long-term financial health and sustainability.

Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations based on financial data to support decision-making.

Reporting: Oversee the preparation and communication of financial statements, reports, and analyses to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies, ensuring the company is well-positioned to navigate economic challenges.

Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs and growth initiatives.

Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for financial matters with investors, board members, and other stakeholders.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including tax, audit, and legal requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

Proven experience as a CFO or in a similar financial leadership role, preferably in the retail, e-commerce or manufacturing sectors.

Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and financial analysis.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to think strategically and provide actionable insights.

Proficiency in financial software and tools.

Experience with investor relations and managing external partnerships is a plus.
