Senior Financial Analyst - Controllership
Description -
The CASR COE is responsible for leading and delivering the close activities and audits for legal entities around the world. The team is responsible to lead USGAAP Close, Local Close and statutory audit closures with the external audit partners.
This role is responsible to apply developed subject matter knowledge to drive Statutory audits & Close activities of different legal entities in compliance with local regulatory requirements; work on problems of diverse complexity and scope; exercise independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution; handle most unique situations. The role contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas for long term roadmap of the COE.
Responsibilities:
• End-to-end ownership of close activities & statutory audits for all the legal entities assigned with diverse natures by working closely with external auditors.
• Preparation of Financial Statements as per accounting standards
• Collaboration with Controllers and other stakeholders to ensure complete analysis of the financial statements.
• Standardization and automation of close processes and all the audit schedules and audit processes for the scope of entities
• End-to-end knowledge of accounting processes, and accounting principles (IFRS, US GAAP, and other accounting frameworks)
• Proficient in understanding of Statutory Reporting process, GAAP Bridging & Financial statement preparation.
• Supports policy and process improvement and identifies opportunities.
• Identifies issues and proposes solutions.
• Trial Balance analysis & support Close activities during month end, quarter end and year end close of USGAAP & Local GAAP books.
Education and Experience Required:
• First-level university degree focused on business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, MBA) preferred.
• Typically, 6+ years of experience as a financial analyst, or controller.
• Typically experienced in more than one finance function.
• A previous experience in one of the BIG 4 will be a plus.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
• Strong technical aptitude relating to accounting systems, business applications (SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Office tools) preferred.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Good business acumen
• Knowledge of US GAAP & IFRS
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
