This position is newly created and will manage a team of five while maintaining the accuracy and completeness of financial statements and ensuring compliance with SEC reporting, SOX controls, and GAAP. Overview of the Assistant Controller role:

• The Assistant Controller will support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations and financial analysis
• The Assistant Controller will assist in development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures and systems
• Oversee the daily accounting operations while mentoring and training staff
• Coordinate the preparation and filing of SEC reports (10-Q, 10-K) and ensure timely and accurate submission
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate annual audits, quarterly reviews, and SOX testing
• Support special projects, financial analysis and ad hoc reporting as needed

Preferred Qualifications for the Assistant Controller:

• CPA required
• Public accounting firm highly preferred
• 5 years of relevant accounting experience with exposure to publicly traded company
