As the Assistant Controller, you'll work closely with the Controller and be accountable for the accounting operations of the company. This includes the production of financial reports, maintenance of a system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

In this role, you'll supervise the financial reporting staff and assist in the oversight of all accounting transactions and processes. You'll play an integral part in the planning and preparation of the annual company budget and assist with the preparation of periodic financial forecasts for the purpose of Senior Management, the Board, and the Bank.

As an Assistant Controller, you'll also have the opportunity to evaluate new technology and/or software applications to meet the organization's financial data processing, control, and reporting requirements. You'll work closely with IT on software upgrades and incorporate enhancements to afford efficiencies in the finance area.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance with at least four years of accounting and/or finance experience
  • Experience in Public Accounting combined with private industry experience preferred
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial statement preparation
  • Intermediate level user of Microsoft Excel, Oracle PeopleSoft, Microsoft SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services, OnBase, Sage, and Avalara
  • Managerial experience a plus

Compensation: $110,000 to $130,000 + 15% target bonus
