SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, proven leadership experience, and an in-depth understanding of manufacturing financial processes. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, overseeing the general ledger, and supporting financial reporting and analysis for our organization.

OVERVIEW OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ROLE:
  • Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
  • Manage the cost accounting processes, including tracking, analyzing, and reporting on manufacturing costs, product costing, and variances.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses to provide insights into business performance.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with other departments to ensure accuracy and alignment with company goals.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with auditors during the annual audit process and provide necessary documentation.
  • Manage and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies to improve business efficiency and profitability.
  • Stay current on relevant accounting standards and regulations affecting the manufacturing industry.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA designation is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
