Assistant Controller Needed for Established Company
Salary: $100,000-140,000

Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Controller:
  • Generate monthly financial reports for individual divisions and the company.
  • Prepare and submit monthly sales tax returns.
  • Compile and submit monthly workers' compensation data.
  • Record and manage journal entries, ensuring accuracy.
  • Conduct reconciliation of bank and intercompany accounts.

Annual Duties of the Assistant Controller:
  • Develop and refine the Annual Budget for strategic financial planning.
  • Prepare meticulous Annual Workpapers for comprehensive financial review.
  • Conduct the Annual Workers Comp Audit to ensure compliance.
  • Submit precise Annual 401K Census Data for Form 5500 reporting.
  • Oversee Insurance Renewals for both Commercial and Employee Benefits.
  • Handle preparation and submission of W-2's, 1099's, and Form 940.

Qualifications of the Assistant Controller:
  • 6+ years of combined experience in public accounting and as a controller.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on deadlines and results.
  • Above-average proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
