Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
  • Experience: 7+ years in a CPA firm or similar environment with hands-on experience in financial statement preparation. Family Office experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Skills: Strong proficiency in financial analysis, tax workpaper preparation, and communication with diverse stakeholders (Family Office management, investment teams, external accountants, and legal professionals).
  • Technology: Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and familiarity with general ledger software (QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or SEI Archway).
  • Mindset: You are proactive, detail-oriented, and always looking for ways to improve processes. You bring a positive, service-driven attitude to everything you do!

What You'll Do:

Accounting and Financial Reporting:
  • Transition financial records from QuickBooks Online to tax-basis accounting and assist in implementing new software.
  • Collaborate with the Direct Investments team to ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
  • Play a key role in building robust internal controls around payments and cash management.
  • Manage bill payments, cash entries, and bank reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare financial statements and entity cash projections, offering valuable insights to the CFO for strategic decision-making.

Tax Compliance & Planning:
  • Drive the process of preparing tax workpapers and communicating with external accounting firms.
  • Review draft tax returns and assist in managing quarterly tax estimates and payments.
  • Ensure real estate tax payments for entity-owned properties are timely and accurately managed.

Other Financial Services:
  • Coordinate capital calls and cash transfers, ensuring timely cash movements and adherence to processes.
  • Assist family members with personal financial transactions as needed.

Development & Administration:
  • Play an active role in improving internal processes and efficiencies as we continue to grow.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive family and financial information with care and discretion.
  • Be adaptable and open to supporting various aspects of the family office as new needs arise.
