We are seeking a Senior Cost Accountant with a specialized focus on Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) implementation. This role is pivotal in overseeing the integration of MRP systems, ensuring accurate cost accounting practices, and optimizing manufacturing processes.

RESPONSIBLITIES of SENIOR COST ACCOUNTANT:
  • MRP Implementation and Integration:
    • Lead the implementation of MRP systems, collaborating closely with IT, operations, and finance teams.
    • Customize MRP modules to align with specific manufacturing processes and business needs.
    • Ensure seamless integration of MRP with existing ERP and financial systems.
  • Cost Accounting Management:
    • Develop and maintain standard cost models for materials, labor, and overhead.
    • Analyze manufacturing variances and provide insights to improve cost efficiencies.
    • Implement cost accounting methodologies to accurately capture production costs.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Streamline manufacturing processes through MRP utilization, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
    • Conduct regular reviews of MRP data integrity and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare financial reports related to manufacturing costs, variances, and performance metrics.
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on cost analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Training and Support:
    • Train end-users on MRP functionality and provide ongoing support to ensure effective system utilization.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on MRP-related inquiries and issues.

  • Requirements for the Senior Cost Accountant:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
    • Proven experience (3-5+ years) in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
    • Demonstrated expertise in implementing and managing ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
    Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000
