Manage the daily activities in all of the organizations accounting functions, which may included cost and general accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Client Details

Privately Owned longstanding construction and real estate firm looking to expand their accounting team and focused on servicing the White Plains/Westchester County area with new commercial and residential builds.

Description
  • Maintain the organization's general ledger, tracking assets, liabilities, expenses, and revenues.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close and financial reporting.
  • Assist internal and/or external auditors with periodic auditing or the organization's financial records and statements.
  • Review bank account reconciliations to manage cash flow.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives with financial insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll process.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Manage Fixed Asset reporting, including project implementations and tax depreciation.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and other FP&A analysis.
  • Create company-wide SOPs to document internal processes and controls.
  • Perform regular Job Cost Analysis.

Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience within accounting and finance. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (especially in Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and accounting software (especially Vista Viewpoint).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to develop and mentor others.
