Volt is immediately hiring for an F/T Direct Hire Assistant Controller in Riverside, CA.
As an Assistant Controller you will:
  • Manage month-end processes in NetSuite, including account reconciliation and journal entries.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and board reports.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Lead cost accounting tasks like standard costing and variance analysis.
  • Oversee inventory transactions and collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize inventory.
  • Provide financial insights to operations and production teams to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Use data for operational analysis and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze key performance indicators to enhance plant performance and cut costs.
  • Manage the fixed asset register, including capitalization and depreciation.
  • Work with HR on payroll and labor cost analysis.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting with detailed financial models.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations for strategic decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
  • Assist with audits and ensure adherence to GAAP and regulatory standards.
  • Handle special projects and financial analysis as needed.

This is a full time, direct hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in accounting and finance, with a strong background in cost accounting and financial closing processes.
  • Experience working in food manufacturing or a related industry is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Proven track record of managing month-end close, financial reporting, and operational analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.

Salary: $100,000 - $110,000/year
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
